Not another wannabe media player jukebox. JukeCab is a design-it-yourself jukebox interface that lets you design a custom music and video experience with touchscreen cabinets, wallboxes, game controllers, standard PC controls and custom setups in mind.
Inspired by classic jukebox software, it supports song tracks, albums, artists, genres, decades, videos, and playlists in title strip, artwork, or mixed display modes.
With skinning, dual-screen support, companion artwork and normalization tools, and a deep settings menu, JukeCab gives you the freedom to build the jukebox interface you actually want.

System Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime, 64-bit
- A working Windows-compatible audio device
- A display resolution of at least 1280 × 720
- Sufficient storage space for JukeCab, its artwork cache, and your media library
- Read and write access to the JukeCab installation folder
A touchscreen, keyboard, mouse, XInput-compatible controller, or properly configured external controls may be used for operation. Some features, such as video playback, visualizers, animated skins, and secondary-display support, may require more capable hardware.
JukeCab is a portable application and should be installed in a folder where it has permission to create and update its settings, cache, artwork, playlist, data, and log files. Installation in a protected Windows folder, such as Program Files, is not recommended.
Music Library Requirements
Users are responsible for ensuring that their media files are properly organized and tagged before adding them to JukeCab. JukeCab can use filenames and folder names as fallbacks under certain library settings, but properly tagged files will provide the most accurate titles, artist groupings, albums, sorting, browsing, and artwork.
JukeCab does not provide music and does not automatically correct or complete your music library.
Supported Media Formats
Music: MP3, FLAC, WAV, M4A, AAC, WMA, AIFF/AIF, and Ogg Vorbis.
Video containers: MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, and WMV. Video compatibility depends on the codecs supported by the user’s Windows installation. Windows N editions may require Microsoft’s Media Feature Pack.
Album and Track Artwork
JukeCab does not search the internet for album covers or automatically add missing artwork to music files.
Album and track artwork must already be embedded in the media file’s metadata. JukeCab may extract and cache that embedded artwork for use in its browsing displays, but it does not permanently modify the original media file.
Now Playing artwork is read directly from the currently playing media file. If no artwork is embedded in that file, the correct album or track image may not be displayed.
JukeCab does not guarantee that artwork from another song on the same album will be substituted for a track that has no embedded artwork. Users should therefore ensure that each file contains the appropriate artwork when consistent Now Playing artwork is required.
User Responsibility
The quality and accuracy of the information displayed by JukeCab depend heavily on the condition of the user’s media library. JukeCab is not responsible for incorrect titles, duplicate artists, improperly grouped albums, missing artwork, or other display issues caused by incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate metadata.
Users should review and prepare their media library with a suitable music-tagging application before importing it into JukeCab.
